unit 1 depict!

In the depict project, I searched around the Gorleston Recreational to find specific places to film according to the storyboards I made and located the best areas and angles in the woodland area. I also did some of the filming and the close up angles.

Black Dog documentary research dossier

Primary research Primary research is data that has been collected and processed first hand. Examples of this include things like surveys, questionnaires and interviews. For my primary research, I conducted research for my documentary project on the locals of the town in which the Black Dog was first seen, to receive a clear and accurate account of the context and details of the sightings.   An example of the primary research I conducted for my documentary was interviewing a family friend called Pete who lives in Bungay and is knowledgeable of British Folklore. Another example primary research I did was interviewing my Dad who has lived in the Beccles Bungay area for a long time and is very familiar with the tales of the Black dog.      Secondary research Secondary research is research that has been already collected. 3MW Proposal

Proposal Ideas: ·          Hip Hop music/culture ·          Ghost story ·          The British Government ·          Sixth form ·          Clothing and personal identification For my documentary, I am going to base it on the legend of the Black Dog of Bungay. For this, I could either do an informative documentary in Bungay, visit where the Dog was first seen and go to Blythburgh church where there are supposed claw marks on the door. Alternatively, I could do a mockumentary, looking upon the dark and ghostly theme satirically and explore the woods in search for this ‘devil dog’. My demographic for this documentary would be middle aged people who live in the Norfolk, Suffolk area who are familiar with the tale of the Black Dog. I would film this in a very remote location, preferably in the woods or on a field or marsh.

requirements of a moving image production

Requirements of a moving image production   In this task, we created a 90 second moving image short film, in response to the ‘Depict moving image’ competition. The film depicts an unknown character going for a walk in the woods, but only to come across mysterious and dangerous goings on. We distributed the moving image product through YouTube on the college’s page. There are two main types of moving image production, which have different distribution methods. The main two types of moving image production are ‘Studio’ and ‘Independent’ films. Studio produced films have a high production value, tend to have a high budget and feature famous actors and also make more money at the Box Office. Independent films have a lower production value to studio produced films, make less money at the Box Office and tend to star lesser known actors. Distribution companies such as Paramount, Universal and Warner Brothers distribute studio produced film to audiences across the world by playing the films
